- We have 8 Brewers for the June event, we would like to have 10, So if anyone is interested please show up the day of. Last minute entries are always welcome.
- Event Shirts are in, $10 for Brewers, $20 Non Brewers
- Event date is June 8th, Brewers should be there by 12 noon. Bring your own ice to get started. There will be no band.
- July meeting location has yet to be determined. If anyone is interested in hosting let us know.
- Lions Club Event will be late September. They are looking at September 28th. The Style is open, but they request no pumpkin beers.
Beers Sampled: Style Pilsner: Commercial offerings Pilsner Urquell, Dinkel Acker CD-Pils.
The Pilsner Style originated in Pilsen, Czech, by Urquell in 1842
- Matt D. : Sappy Pils. Made with Maple Sap, very clean, tasty, head retention a little low, only 2-3 weeks in the bottle.
- Matt B. : Sunday Pils: Flaked corn, and some Munich Malt added. Corn/malt flavors nice, very good.
- Eric B. : Bailey’s Birthday Beer. Pils/vienna, Spalt Hops, wyeast Czech pilsner yeast, good, I like it.
- Chris H., Frank W. : India Pale Lager, Magnum/Pearl hops, 5.6%, Brewed in January, Dry hopped with El Dorado/Northern Brewer. Extended boil to hit target created a darker more bitter result. 60 IBU’s, Caramel, burnt creme Brulee flavors, very good.
- Matt D.: BS ESB 2.5%, Flaked Barley, Biscuit, Maris Otter, Sterling Golding hops. Green pepper flavors. This was a recipe modified from Ken Shales' book "Brewing Better Beers."
- Matt D. : Cafe Latte Stout, 1# Lactose, ¾ cup coarse ground coffee @ flameout & left in primary. Very good, balanced.
- George M. : IPA 3.5%, Citrus IPA, passion fruit, nugget/mosaic/citra hops, dry hopped with 1 oz. mosaic, 1 oz. citra. Sorghum aroma, citrus flavors, good. A ton of carbonation (blew the flip top right off the bottle).
- Brian G. : Commercial beer, Lord Hobo- Museum Triple IPA 11%, formaldehyde Flavor, strong alcohol.
- Wes A. : Lemon Wine #3, 15.8%, 192 oz. Welch's white grape juice, 10# sugar, 14 lemons. Additional zest & juice of 16 lemons in secondary. Very lemon forward.
- Chris H. & Frank W. : Mead, Rhodomel 13%, Rose Hip, Elderberry, Chamomile. Made 8/8/15, bottle 5/17/2016, aged well, very mellow, awesome.
Eric B. is interested in placing an order with Catskill Hops, So if you want any hops let Eric or the Club know.

June Meeting will be on Saturday, June 22nd, @ 2 p.m. at MeadowLark Inn, 5759 US Route 20, East Springfield, NY. Brats and Buns provided by the Club, Bring a dish to pass (optional) & beer to sample. We will also have a special guest, Phil Leinhart from Ommegang. Bring brew/beer related questions that you might have
