I hope everyone’s winter brews are warming you nicely! ‘Tis the Season for Barleywines, Russian Stouts, and (mildly-spiced) Winter Warmers! For those of you who missed last month’s meeting, I believe we broke a new brew per capita record! With 13 beers and only 16 attendants, let’s just say we all had our fair share! None of this, “Hey! You better save me some as it comes around!” All in all, it was nice change of pace to sip on some heavily malted, heavily hopped, nice and beefy winter beers.
For this month, we will not be holding an official meeting. Since this month’s meeting would fall so close to the holiday (21st) several members said that they would not be able to attend due to holiday and family festivities. However, if there are club members with beer to share, are available on the 21st, and can think of no better way to celebrate the Mayan Doomsday than with cold homebrews amongst friends, then by all means, feel free to show up at MFP on Friday 12/21 at 6:30 pm!
For everyone else, we will continue our regularly scheduled meetings on January 18th at a location soon to be announced.
For January’s meeting, please be thinking about our Spring Charity Tasting. We hope to hold this event in April, so we’ll need to hear from proposals and cast our vote no later than February.
Finally, I want to wish everyone a great Holiday! Whether with friends, family, or both, may all of your pints these next few weeks be shared with those you love most.
…till next year…
Cheers!
