Many orders of business were discussed including:
- The next charity fund raiser for the Catskill Choral Society will be called HOPS for Harmony and will take place Sunday, November 1 from 1:00 to 3:00 at the B-Side in Oneonta. The beers to be presented are to be either Oktoberfest or some sort of Pumpkin beers. A list for the entrants is being compiled, so if you would like to enter a beer, please let Wes, Chris, Mike, or Todd know and a listing will be placed on the website.
- A field trip is being arranged to go to Binghamton Brewing Company as well as a couple other breweries in the area. The date for the trip is Saturday, October 3. Details are to follow and be discussed at the next meeting.
- Dobler’s Brewery and Tavern in Laurens is now open. It was mentioned that the beers are kind of undocumented and the service still needs to be worked out for the food, but it may be worth stopping by in the future to check it out.
- There were many interesting beers samples this meeting including highlighted beers such as:
- Organic Black Berry Ale with all ingredients from New York State.
- A tasty Milk chocolate stout
- Wes’ 8 year old wine
- And a few other beers to go along with the grilled brauts, homemade sauerkraut, Buffalo chicken dip, corn salsa dip, and the surprising good and worth waiting for Tabasco fudge brownies.
- The next meeting is to be held on the third Friday of the month on September 18, at 6:30, at My Father’s Place restaurant back room.
