I wanted to give everyone an official update announcement on this Fall’s Charity Tasting Contest: HOPS for Hunger. We have partnered with Saturday’s Bread, Local Food Pantry and Serving Center to bring the community our Second Charity Tasting Contest. This season’s beer theme: “Malt-Forward Fall Beers.” Below is a list of logistics:
When: Saturday, November 10, 1-4pm
Where: B-Sides Ballroom and Supper Club (formerly the General Clinton Pub)

1. Smoked American Brown Ale: Ken “The King” George & Mike Kranbuhl
2. Scotch Ale: Joshua Hammonds and Chilton Reynolds
3. Oktoberfest: Trevor Ostrander & Ed Spencer
4. Brown Ale: Josh & Rebecca Luerssen & Dale and Margaret Hunt
5. Porter: Ellen Blaisdell, Peter Exton, & Ron Parks
6. Scottish Ale: Joe Bilz & Mike Frasco
7. Maple Scottish Ale: Todd Snelson, Susan Gengenbach, & Bernie Gridley
8. TBD: Taylor Soroka & Josh Paulson
9. Oktoberfest Ale: Wes Nick & Russ Scimeca
10. Imperial Pumpkin Porter: Chris Cleveland & Cody Gibson
11. TBD: Mohawk Valley Brewclub
Tickets will go on sale soon. Price is $25/person includes tastings for all 11 beers, a complimentary 5 oz. tasting glass, and some light food.
T-Shirts: Reminder if you are planning on purchasing a T-shirt for the event, get your orders in by next brewclub meeting. Trevor Ostrander will be taking names and your $15 if you are interested.
