Spring is trying all it can to come and stay! I hope your fermenters are ready. This month’s meeting will be next Friday, April 19th @ 6:30pm @ My Father’s Place (MFP). Anyone who hasn’t been there can find directions HERE.
As usual, be sure to bring:
1. Homebrews if you got em (36+ oz)
2. Writing Utensil
3. Constructive, Critical Palette 4. Favorite, most-pretentious tasting glass you own!
HOPS for the Oneonta Theater
This month’s meeting will be the day before our big: HOPS for the Oneonta Theater Tasting Event! So a chunk of the meeting will be devoted to planning and discussing Saturday’s Event at the Oneonta Theater. For the 10 brewers who are entering the tasting contest, be sure to attend our meeting if at all possible so that you can be briefed on the where/when/what to do on the day of the event.
As it stands, ticket sales are lower than expected. The Green Toad Bookstore is selling the tickets (cash only) as well as The Oneonta Theater box office during their weekly screenings. Tell your friends!
Possible Cooperative Brewery Interest
Some potentially exciting news for the area: A regional planning course at Cornell University has been in contact with several individuals from Oneonta about the possibility of establishing a cooperative brewery in the area. At this stage, it is speculative and research is underway to determine the feasibility and interest in this kind of endeavor.
That said, if you wouldn’t mind, please fill out the following survey if brewing on a bigger scale has EVER crossed your mind:
